In the financial sector, each region or country has the right to set its own strict rules and restrictions. The cryptocurrency market is no exception in this regard.
In accordance with the provisions of the pan-European MICA regulation, cryptocurrency service providers operating in the EEA (European Economic Area) must stop operations with stablecoins from issuers that have not met the MICA requirements by December 31, 2024. USDT may qualify as one of these stablecoins subject to the ban. Providers are also required to implement new requirements - "Travel Rule requirements".
Due to the fact that there is still no clear official legal position on USDT in the EEA, the Trustee suspends the servicing of this asset in the EEA.
Clients from other territories will not be affected by this change. All clients who will be affected by this rule will be informed personally with appropriate recommendations and an action plan.
We would like to remind you that Trustee Plus offers a wide range of virtual assets, and the exchange of stablecoins between each other is carried out without commission.
In the event of changes in the policy of regulators, the business strategy of virtual asset issuers, or European rules, we will promptly inform you about this and potentially renew the service.
Your assets will always remain in your control and securely protected.
